  • Crossfire Free Multiplayer RPG that allows you to host your own server.

  • Minetest Love Minecraft but hate what it's become? Play Minetest instead.

  • CNCnet Free version of Command and Conquer with easy to use multiplayer servers.

  • Steel Panthers: Main Battle Tank old MS-DOS military simulation updated and added too over the years. Free version available.

  • MegaMek Unofficial Java Client that allows you to play Classic BattleTech Solo or in Multiplayer.

  • Books/Audiobooks

  • GraphicAudio PHENOMENAL audiobook company. All of their stuff is fully voice acted by a talented cast, along with high end sound effects and bgm. I have listened to every single one of their Deathlands audiobooks and I can not recommend them enough!

  • Lord of the Rings Unofficial Audiobooks by Phil Dragash Without a doubt the absolute best LOTR audiobooks I have ever listened too and all done by ONE guy.

  • The Hobbit Unofficial Audiobook by BlueFax Another fantastic fan made audiobook, but this time for The Hobbit.

  • The Shadow Radio Drama "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? THE SHADOW knows!"

  • Soldier of Fortune Magazine Collection The Journal for Professional Adventurers!

  • ElfQuest Really good fantasy comic from 1978, available for free!

  • OSRIC Old School Reference and Index Compilation (aka 1e AD&D).

  • Dark Dungeons A legal friendly rerelease of the BECMI Rules Cyclopedia.

  • The Home Gunsmith The late P. A. Luty's personal website, kept up for posterity.

  • Impro Guns A blog containing an absolute smorgasbord of pictures of various DIY weapons from around the world.

  • Primitive Ways Site contains articles and tutorials on various "primitive" skills.

  • Guerilla Mail Disposable email account to combat spam.

  • Neocities A sort of soft reboot of Geocities and the reason I can have this website in the first place.

  • Low Tech Magazinean ingenious project where the creator runs the entire site off of a solar powered self hosted server. Can be a bit hippie dippy at times but has good information.

  • Soldier of Fortune The renowned magazine from days past has moved to a strictly online publishing model.

  • Ground Zero Games Generic and (mostly free) scifi tabletop wargames (I personally like Dirtside II).

  • OSE SRD Old School Essentials converted to a print friendly website (B/X D&D).

  • lukesmith.xyz A website owned by a Mr. Luke Smith. His blog/vlog is one of the reasons I decided to actually make a website.

  • based.cooking Another one of Mr. Smith's websites filled with recipes. He created it out of sheer frustration with modern web bloat. Due to its minimalistic design it loads extremely fast even on slow internet connections.

  • Toonami Aftermath Livestream of Toonami reruns with chat. Can be used with Roku and other services.

  • Startpage Search engine that doesn't track you, is everything DuckDuckGo was supposed to be

  • Advance Wars By Web Multiplayer Advance Wars via browser

  • Invidious Open Source front-end for YouTube that can be self hosted. Multiple instances to choose from. No ads, no tracking.

  • Wiby Search engine that specializes in avoiding script heavy websites. Very useful for digging up lost gems from the Old Web.

  • Searx Open Source search engine that does not track you or sell your data. Can also be self-hosted.

  • Cock.li Donation run email with funny domains. Doesn't sell your data.

  • trace.moe Find anime via screenshots.

  • SauceNAO Find the Sauce.

  • GIMP Free photo editing software.

  • LibreWolf Firefox stripped of it's bloat and telemetry.

  • Aniyomi Anime and Manga reader for Android.

  • FDroid Think Google Play Store but for FOSS.

  • Liferea RSS Feed client that allows for offline reading.

  • Portmaster Powerful open source firewall with an emphasis on privacy.

  • LibreOffice Free office suite without the headache that is Microsoft.

  • VLC Audio and video player that can play just about any format and allows for streaming.

  • KeePass 2 Amazing Password manager.

  • k9mail Free and opensource email client for android.

  • NewPipe Free and lightweight alternative to the abysmal YouTube app. No ads and comes with optional sponsor block.
